| I shall be moving to Texas in June...I bought two packs of Red King Humbert a few weeks ago...I do not wish to plant them until I get to Texas...I should be able to plant them in late August to September...can I leave them in the package until then or will they die? |

| With all that time and likely much more heat, it would not appear to be feasible. You could try repacking them in fresh peat and keeping them slightly refrigerated, but I would recommend potting them up and letting them grow. When the time comes to move, chop them down and store the rhizomes (more may have grown by then), or simply pack the pots and let them regrow in the ground when you get there. Remember to let the pots dry out before you pack them so there won't be any rot. |
