well, I am no expert,but if I was you I would start them inside now in pots near a sunny window and they will get a head start on the season, or I would think that you could plant them in the garden now, we are not going to get a hard enough frost to freeze down a few inches and destroy the tubors at this point. But if you plant them outside they will take awhile to get to a good size.

Since I don't really have the pots or space to start the 30+ tubers indoors, I think I'm going to get them in the ground this coming weekend unless I hear any objections. Just hoping to hear from someone else in this area that has or would plant outside in the early spring.

I think it will be OK to do that now. It is not only freeze that I worry about but also rot. Make sure the site does not retain water. And I am in your area :)
