I'm glad to hear you were pleased with your order. I just placed an order there myself for ten different varieties. Like you, I checked out the various pricing options -- and Horn Canna Farm was definitely the cheapest, even though the shipping price was steep.

I'm not sure when my shipment will arrive. It's too early to plant here yet.

I got cannas from Horn last year, they grew well, everything seemed to be what it was supposed to be. Very cheap, and when you consider the weight of canna, shipping is pretty reasonable. A few of the tubers were a bit smaller than I was expecting, most were very nice. I only got one of each variety, and one didn't come up. For the price I didn't complain, & I gather Horn's doesn't guarantee after you plant them.

how long does it usually take from the time you plant them to the time they shoot up?

of the 40 rhizomes (sorry i called them tubers before, now i know better) i planted on the 6th of march i counted 5 already with shoots 3 - 6 inches out of the ground and one of those, the red king humbert, has a leaf unfurling.

I didn't realize that they would grow so well in a hot and humid zone 9. Luckily, I dug up mine from old house (Chicago), so I have some passalongs from my neighbors.

This year was my first ordering from Horn's, It sure wont be my last:) Very happy with what I got,
I got 2 each of 26 different one's, I thought my $12.00 shipping was a GREAT deal, for 52 Canna & most they sent 3 of each, compared to some of the shipping charges I have paid in the past.
Does anyone know of a reasonable (Under $20.00) place I can find a White One?
