Do rabbits eat cannas?

Was thinking about putting one in my pond but I'm in the AZ low desert and don't want to just feed the rabbits. They have destroyed everything I put in the pond from parrot's feather to horsetail to corkscrew rushes. The last 2 as marginals on edge shelves but they just lean over and chow down a meal.

Any advice appreciated.

RE: Do rabbits eat cannas?

After growing cannas for many years along with cottontail rabbits living amongst them, I can only say they do not eat cannas by choice. Now, if the only succulent green thing available is a canna, your desert rabbit may be forced to give them a try. For most of us, rabbits typically are not a problem.
