 o
Four Inch Rhizome Produce More than One Stem?

I am new to Canna's and two weeks ago I planted two rhizome's in their own pot. One was 6 inches long and the other 4. Almost immediately one stem popped up in each pot and today there is still only one per pot. Do these short rhizomes usually throw up more than one stem?

I just read about the yellow mottle virus, scary! Being new to canna's I probably would have thought that the leaves were supposed to look that way. That is too bad that places are selling diseased plants knowingly.

Been on top long enough, I am posting to let it drop to the bottom.

When it, the canna, first comes up, there should be a stem per eye on the rhizome. More will follow, just need patientce with canna's as they tend to be slow starters for me.
