| and I would like to grow some cannas along one part of my fence line but before I plant I need to know how far down their roots will grow. My water line is in that area and is only about 3' down. Thanks for the help. |

| They root very shallowly. You only plant them about 2 inches deep and then their roots may go another 6 inches at most. Mine stay near the surface. You shouldn't have any problem around your water lines. |
