| I chanced it last fall and kept my cannas in the ground covered with about a foot of leaves. If you look close, you'll see shoots to the left of the hostas. As far as I can tell, all my cannas seem to have survived the winter although it was really mild this year so maybe I was lucky. I only uncovered them because I saw new growth poking above the leaves. Lets hope mother nature keeps things on the warm side from now on.

| Ohhh,,, Nice! Love to see that. After a bleak winter, they all are, you get rewarded. Our winters are a little less challenging. But I planted 40 canna seed and it's a treat to see 35 leafing up! Garden on! |

| Central cali369, These cannas are a mixed bunch of indica cannas I purchased at Home Depot last year. Some are Black night too I believe. So far the potted ones are not showing any signs of life, but it is early. |
