canna question. newbie here

I fell in love with a certain canna, it had dark red leaves, wasn't in flower and it was tall. I am wondering what variety this could be.

if i want cannas that will get 3ft or taller, the taller the better, this year, what wold i be looking for, type, a bulb size, number of eyes?

i know nothing at all about this but i want some cannas that will be pretty tall this year.

any suggestions on where to get some,

Three I know of with dark red leaves are "Wyoming", "Australia", and "Black Knight". Of the three, I've only grown Australia, which is the middle-sized one. Wyoming should get taller, and Black Knight is shorter, but all get over 3 ft tall. A web search for dark leaved cannas will lead you to more varieties.

Make sure you read the posts about canna virus before you get your first cannas. Start with "clean" plants and you'll have more fun.
