Should spindley basement growth be cut back?

I have brought up my canna from the basement and they are already a foot tall but top leaves have almost no color - should I cut them back and make them sprout again or will the top leaves turn to the color they should be?

I don't cut them if they have basement growth, but if the growth breaks off when planting, it's okay too. This early in the growth season should not harm them, there will be plenty of catch up time! Good luck!

The leaves will likely green up once they see some daylight - do it gradually or they will sunburn. I wouldn't cut them back.

It's your call - either way they'll be fine.
