cannas with bad spots

| Hi, I am not so much an experienced gardener, but I try. This is the first time that I stored my cannas, and I brought them up from the basement last night and about 1/2 of them had bad spots on them. And I really hope I didn't make a bad mistake. I ended up cutting out and off the bad spots. Have I totally ruined my chances of being sucessful with these??? |

| What do you mean by bad spots? Were the rhizomes mushy? If so, cutting off the mushy parts is recommended. Also, coating the rhizomes with bulb dust (fungicide) prior to planting is extra insurance for success. Regards, Rokal |
