cannas

Last year,someone who was moving gave me almost thirty cannas.They said that I would have to lift them in the fall.I talked to the local garden club leader and she said that I could try to leave them in and see if they comeback.(I layered almost three feet of leaves on them)I planted 20 of them and about 9 are coming back...should I do something to help them along?

Take off the leaves if you haven't already. The ones that have leaves can get soe fertilizer now.
