Canna problem

Greetings all.

I am hoping to get some ideas from you brilliant folks.

Most of my cannas seem to be doing fine. They are underneath an eave on the West side of my home. The cannas on the left of the bed (close to the door) are dying, I guess? They will grow, sometimes up to three feet, and even put out flowerbuds before they start to look wilty or sometimes fall right over. The rhizome/eye looks healthy (white not black or anything) where the canna has fallen over and it does not appear that something ate through the base. When they look wilty or fall over, I can just pluck them right out of the ground. Do cannas suffer from root rot or rhizome rot or something? If so, what do I need to do? Dig up the entire bed?

This is their second season there. Last year, I had no problems & everything grew fine. This year, I had my first infestation with leaf rollers (and that was taken care of with some BT, although I need to reapply - we have just had a lot of much needed rain lately). Any ideas?

Thanks in advance!
