rhizomes with no eyes.

| received a bunch of canna rhizomes.Some had "eyes" or growing tips, and others were just pieces if a rhizome without eyes. They look healthy and white in color, but will those pieces grow? |

| Since you haven't had a reply yet, I thought I'd put in my 2 cents. I've had some rhizomes that I couldn't really identify the "eyes" and things seemed to turn out OK. I've even had some that didn't appear white or overly healthy that turned out OK. Plant them. What could it hurt? For your own curiousity, put a little flag where you put those so you know the result. I often think I'll remember where I put these sorts of things, but it all becomes a blur by midsummer! | If they are healthy, they should be fine. I think the ones without eyes will root and start to grow. Once they start to grow, they'll grow eyes. That's been my experience. Good luck! |
