I planted them in late June, I have growth on the giants but not the dwarfs..do you think I'll get any flowers this year? How long after they start do they flower?
when i dig up my cannas to overwinter..
1. when should i do this
2. what should i put them in?
3. do i still water them?
4. Can I just cover them with plastic in the ground or can I put a few inches of mulch on them? Or should I def bring them in? I never brought in my glads and they always come back fine even with no mulch or protection, but they are deeper than the cannas, so I am worried about them.
as u can see I am clueless..need all the help i can get.

in your area:
1) you will probably need to dig up your cannas and overwinter inside in a cool (50-65) room. I store mine in clumps in 2.5 gallon zip lock bags. You can do this in October or Novemeber or even early December as long as the soil does not freeze.

2) I do not water them when they are indoors for the winter.

If they are planted in full sun they should all bloom shortly.
