Can I start some now?

It's in the 90's here these days. I have canna seeds I'd like to experiment on :) -- should I start them now, plant them out around Sep/Oct (assuming they grow) then dig them up when it gets cold, take indoors, and plant again in the spring? Or should I just wait 'til next year to start them?

Thanks!

I'd refrigerate them and plant in late winter/early spring.

If planted now, they probably wouldn't grow enough by frost to have sizable, overwinterable tubers. And growing indoors over the winter in typical home conditions won't work very well.
