RE: Canna 'Orange Crush'

Hi Katie,

only just found your posting re Canna 'Orange Crush'. I'm guessing you saw the free wallpaper pic of mine on the Canna News Blog:

This is an Australian raised cultivar (by Vicki Staal) and as far as I know, not available in the US. Even in its country of origin is in not commonly available.

Canna 'Orange Crush' is a wonderful performer and not too tall at about 4 feet high. The flowers are not huge - 4 to 4.5 inches across, but there are lots of them open at the same time and they last very well even in searing heat. The flowers are self cleaning so it always looks neat and tidy.

Vicki named it after a bottle of kid's cordial. It's a very fine Canna and sets masses of seed, which, being a hybrid seed parent, of course would not throw progeny true to the parental type.
