potted canna

I planted many of my canna in pots this year since we have our house on the market and I definitely want to take them with us. They never bloomed, but their foliage is as big as ever. Without a flower, will they have what they need to be dug up and planted next year? Do you know why they didn't bloom?

They'll transplant with no problem at all and will probably do better in the ground than in pots. They'll bloom, too. Just see that they get plenty of sun, water, and organic nutrients.

I agree with Nicolo, sun, water (especially water when in pots) nutrients. I grow mine in surplus plastic pails (from cat litter) as well as in the ground. The potted ones do as well as planted ones. I give mine MiracleGro via hose feeder once a week and water every two days in hot dry weather. My property only will allow 6hrs sun at most so I have to work with it but my results are very nice flowers and plants.
