Newbie: Suggested reading?

Hi!

My fiance and I planted our first cannas ever this year. We didn't really know what to expect because we didn't really know what we were doing:) However, the plants are absolutely beautiful and did wonderfully, so we interested in storing them over the winter, planting them in the spring/summer again, and possibly growing some from seed (we plan on saving what we can collect from our plants this year).

Do you have any suggestions for good comprehensive reading? Or, should I just go to the library and start looking:) Also, what do you consider the best online resources?

TIA!

" The Gardeners Guide to Growing Cannas" by Ian Cooke is a great book if you are truely interested about this plant. I found the book on ebay for $8 when I bought it.

Here is a link that might be useful: link to book at amazon

unfortunately, that is pretty much it for anything printed in the last century, but it is a good book from very respected source in the canna community.
