I did not have any trouble growing either but I had problems storing over the winter out of all my cannas Pink Sunburst is the only one that died.

When you say "shriveled an died" did you water too much before it leafed out? The soil should be just moist almost dry until they grow some leaf or they will rot.

Pink Sunburst has typical canna vigor and robustness. If you have only one or two treasured canna rhizomes, the best way to store them is in a large amount of dried sphagnum moss in a sealed plastic bag. If you have a large number of rhizomes and can afford to lose a few, wrap them in newspaper and put them in a sealed plastic bag. Put the bags in a cool part of your basement.
