What to do with cannas this fall that I received green???????

I received 6 cannas this week and they still have some leaves on them...Do I remove the leaves and let them sit in the closet until next spring or what? Help? Thanks, Cliff........

When do you expect frost? If it is not for another month, you could plant them in a pot, and then treat as normal once frost comes.

My worry now, is that the temperature may be too warm now for you to begin storing for winter. I may be wrong though not being from okla. Even here in Canada zone 5, I will not pull my cannas yet.

Hopefully a more local person will comment as well.
