bulbs...another question

| :) sorry folks, I have so many questions. I see a lot of bulbs being sold at Menards, Home Depot, Walmart, Lowes, etc. The package says to plant it in fall. In spring 2009, it will bloom. My question is, will it make for the next spring, 2010? Or do the bulbs die in the ground?
