I sent my brother cannas, and this summer was their second growing season. He lives in Baton Rouge, LA, and he has not had lots of luck growing cannas.

Are there any secrets to growing cannas in zone 8b. Can they take full sun or do they need partial shade. I think that he does a decent job of keeping them watered. I appreciate any helpful thoughts, and I will pass them along.
