digging up canna before killing frost

Is there any problem/ major bad with doing it now even though we have not had even a frost here. We are about 10 days past my first frost date, and I am antsy to get this done before the weather quickly goes down hill, as it certainly will.

Most commercial growers have to start harvest prior to a killing frost. Just handle your rhizomes as you have done in the past or by following previously suggested winter storage solutions that work for you in your area.
