Just plain green

My expensive Stuttgart cannas are just plain green...I already had lots of green ones. Why didn't they get the variegation shown in the adverts? How dissappointing :-(

Did you plant them in full sun? If so that could be the reason from what I understand they should be in pt shade.

sounds like a mislabeling. I have grown them for years in full sun/part sun and they always have been variagated for me.

Here is a photo of mine.

I put them in the shade because the sun burned them. They are varigated, but did not flower. Does it take more than a year before cannas flower? I just started these from rhisomes early this spring. Thx. Carolxi
