Over-Wintering Canna bulbs -

I have over 50 bulbs I recently acquired from my Great Aunt ; I live in New Jersey in zones 6-7 (on the border of each) I have been reading posts - and I want to know my best approach for storing, planting, and possible potting some of these bulbs - is it true Cannas can be house plants ? I'm going to store some, plant some outside; and make 2 pots to bring inside - sound good ? any help would be great ~ Tm

You can not plant them now outside it is too late you will have to store them until spring and then plant. Yes cannas can be houseplants if you can provide them with lots of light and warmth but be careful they can get spidermites.

There are many ways to store cannas. On the posts you read just try the one that is the easiest for you. Just remember they cannot take temps below 50 degrees and check on them from time to time for any problems. HTH, Tara
