I scarfed a cob from my SIL before she threw it out. I was interested in seeing if the cob had been treated and if there was anyway I could w/s it this spring. I put 5-6 kernels in some moist potting soil and they're sprouting!

I've since pulled the rest of the kernels off (a mix of white, yellow, purple, blue, red,) and plan on sowing them end of April.

The husk was a dark purple, so it should make a showy ornamental grass look.

I have a sandwich bag full if anyone else wants to try..let me know.
