My first jugs

I put out my first traditional winter sowing jugs today: red maple, cabbage, and kohlrabi. I'm not late. It's -10C and the highs for next week are between -20 and -15C. I think I have enough winter left. I'm hoping to get the greenhouse usable early April -- 6 or 8 weeks to last frost.

RE: My first jugs

Yesterday I buried four milk jugs in a milk crate so that they won't get blown away in the spring, and since the crate is red, I won't lose them in the snowbanks.

I planted delphinium, dames rocket, maltese cross, and leeks.

It was -20 with a bitter wind at the time.

This is my first attempt, so I hope something grows.
