Wild Sweet Peas

I've never grown these before (I'd never even heard of them before my DM gave me some seed) , but I understand they're a perennial. Just wondering if anyone has WS'd these and when do you think its safe to...remembering I'm in zone 1b :)

I winter sowed these a few years ago, but when I went to plant them, I googled them and decided that they did not belong in my gardens because of their invasiveness.

Having said that, you are in a zone 1 and I am in a zone 6, so there's a possibility that it might be more controlled in your zone. It does state on one of the websites that it does not grow in Alaska because of extreme temperatures so that info gives clues to how it might behave for you.

I would think that because of it's nature, it would be good to sow at any time, even in your zone.

Thanks, Tiffy :) I'll watch where I plant them this first season in case they become unruly, but you may be right, they could be just an annual for me.

I'll think I'll try sowing some in March.
