Redwing Blackbirds arrived today! Always my first harbinger of spring, as the robins spend all winter here now.

I am so far behind this year that I have only one container outside so far. I have things sorted and ready to go as far as the seeds that I want to plant, but I lost my source of containers this year so I only have a few. I hope to get planting next week when I know that I have some time off work.
My first sign of spring has always been the robins, so hoping to see them soon.

It was so mild here today, i thought something might sprout, but nothing did. Just as well as it's only March, and i usually don't get sprouts until mid-April.

I have lots of containers, some in mostly shade and some mostly sun. I haven't looked closely at any of them, because I thought it was still a month early for anything to sprout. Maybe I should check them close-up. I might have a surprise.

So far I have Lupine Russell mix, Feverfew mix, Cheiranthus (Wallflower), Malva Sylvestris Zebrina, and Malva Sylvestris Bibor Felho. They are so cute! I love the first sprots.
