Very pretty and airy looking. Was this something that had sprouted in the spring, but you forgot to plant or was it something that you had thought was a 'no show' and had put away in a corner just in case it sprouted over the summer? I have several pots of no shows and am wondering what to do....dump, put pots in a corner somewhere, or what. I hear that there are lots of surprises, so I will probably not dump them. :-)

Greylady, I went back to my notes to get the details on this plant. The container yielded just one sickly looking specimen, and I thought I had damaged it trying to get it out. So I just left it in the container and placed it in a small holding space under the apple tree, found that it had survived and grown quite a bit in the Fall, and planted it out. I never dump things, unless it's something that I don't really want. There are some that don't show up for some time. Many of my 'laggers' sprouted in the last few weeks after being placed in full sun, covered, for a few days. But I love this plant - had never seen it before. I don't think any photo. can do justice to the serenity of the green airy foliage, with the little bell-shaped flowers blowing in the wind. It is very delicate.

That's a lovely plant. It looks different from the Jacob's Ladder plants that i have - their leaves are closer together and a darker green. I have white and blue, both wintersown (i think - i know the blue was for sure, but i can't remember if i did the white or not). I've sown an apricot one one for two years in a row with no luck.

Now that is a nice plant! It's so delicate looking and refreshing! Well done!
