Planting out

I am so amazed at what a few hot days can do. I spent yesterday planting out - petunias, caliposis, hollyhocks, dianthus, Jacob's ladder, nasturtiums - and I plan to continue this weekend. I want to clear up the deck, then I can attack the seedlings in my WS enclosure in the middle of the vegetable garden. What are you up to??

northerner...
I'm wondering what the heck I was thinking when I planted over 100 2L pop bottles. (I know for some of you that number is even small, but for me...I'm overwhelmed with planting out! LOL.)

I've got a whole month off work (vacation), guess what I will be doing? ;)

I can't believe I was so crazy either. I did 75 pop bottles. I filled up the little enclosure I had in my vegetable bed, and then went on to the deck. My DH was fuming last week that the deck was a mess, so I had to move all of them off and clean the deck off and I still have to make beds and plant out. I figure this is a once-in-a-lifetime occurrence.

RE: Planting out

We have a risk of frost tonight and guess what I was doing??? Planting out all evening! While the neighbours were racing to bring their anuuals in and covering their gardens, I was happily putting seedlings in the ground and mulching. Lovin' every minute of it!

I even found time to sow some more Cosmos and Morning Glories.

Hey Crazy... Lucky you to have a month off!! Can we switch? LOL!!

RE: Planting out

I'll be planting into July by the looks of my patio! I've been planting w/s seedlings for 2 weeks - and then the weather warmed up so I brought out all the stuff from the basement! Now with the rain - the mosquitoes are forming herds and attack you with glee when you step out the door. Why do I always plant more than I can possibly use?

RE: Planting out

I've made a big dent in my plantings, I have probably 10 containers left and I'm done for this year.

Please someone tell me not to sow sooooooooo much next winter! ;)
