Hi Kristal, I'm not Canadian either, but living just across the river from St. Stephen NB so this forum is one I check frequently too. This is the first year for me. I didn't get sprouts until early April but when I did finally get them I was like you are now...totally excited. Lots have sprouted for me now even though it is still so cold. The air temp is 50F but the wind chill is much colder. Congratulations on your sprouts and may you get many more.

Sprouting like crazy over here in Nova Scotia, and still sowing too. Tonight I took the plunge and went for the Zinnias.

I started my tomatoes and peppers indoors this year, but had an infection and lost lots of my tomatoes. It's a kind of scale, and I saved a few plants by spraying them (I've never done this)but the new seeds I planted are taking forever to sprout. I still have a few annuals and vines to sow, but I think I'll wait a few days and put them directly in the ground. I am still enjoying my bulbs: my snowdrops, miniature irises, Scillas are gone, but my species tulips and various daffodills, and grape hyacinths are blooming. Isn't spring wonderful?

Thanks for the welcome. Wow Tiffy, my crocus have finished blooming and my scillas are just starting. I have buds on tulips and daffs I planted last fall but only one blooming daff. I guess zone doesn't have anything to do with time when you're talking plants. I have wsn about 65 types of seeds and probably have about 50% germination of types.....not of seeds sown though. Kinda slow there...it's a beautiful warm day here but the nights are still down in the mid 30's. C'mon warmer nights!!!
