Hello Northerner. Yesterday it rained on and off all day so I didn't get much done. Today was nice so I planted some of the vegies, herbs and some of my winter sowing. I'm hoping to get more planted tomorrow. I'll also be starting some shrubs. Marg

We've had an awful spring - it was cold all through May and we even had a touch of frost last week. Most of what i was doing for a long time was covering the cold frame, the mini-greenhouse and the containers of annuals that had germinated! Of course the weather hasn't bothered the weeds, and i have more dandelions blooming in my beds than anything else. That's what i spent this afternoon doing - crawling along my paths and digging out dandelions, clover, quack grass, plantain and potentilla. It's really disheartening, but i guess i'll eventually get it all done.

Many of the WS containers are overflowing with plants that need to get into the ground. This week - in which i have, amazingly enough, only one meeting to attend - i'll be spending evenings weeding, planting flowers and planting vegetables. That is, if it doesn't rain! :>
