Marg, Hosta was one of the first things I winter sowed when I started in 2006. I received the seeds in a trade and sowed them in April, and they germinated very easily. I do believe they should be up by now, but I would keep the container around for a while longer - I never give up.

Hosta update: I was moving some of the leftover wintersowing containers around and accidentally knocked one over. Lo and behold, two hosta plants fell out. There is still one more container and I'm keeping my fingers crossed that I will have a few more hostas come up. I'm going to plant some more next year. It was great to see they had actually sprouted - I was beginning to have doubts that anything would come up! Marg
