| Marg, I don't know where you live, but once you're not expecting any more warm periods which may start the seeds germinating before winter settles in, you're O.K. Many people on the Mother Site have Winter Solstice parties, and start planting then. I am usually too busy getting ready for Christmas at that time, so I usually start in Feb. after the holidays, and after I've had time to do all my trades and put in my orders from the new catalogues.
