RE: vft

Nice, your plant should recover soon if you allow it to recover. everytime i purchase venus' flytraps. (from any source, including hardware stores such as home depot) i allow them to acclimate slowly before introducing them to full sun. Firstly, i water them, then.. i allow the vft to get 1 - 3 of full sun/bright light for the first week afetr purchasing them(or recieving them) after that first week, i introduce them to full sunlight, i give them 4 - 6 hours of full sun after a week after purchasing them. Everytime i do this, they grow just fine. I purchased a vft today (April 17, 2005) from home depot's nursery, i will take a pic of it. It may not be the best shaped vft but i will turn it into a beauty :) if you are willing to grow vfts', patience is required. Most people learn to become patient after growing some types of plants. :D i am very sure your vft will look beautiful after a matter of time, just be patient with it. give it plenty of sunlight, and keep its media moist at all times during the growing season (Late February - Late October)

This is a pic of my Vft bigmouth that i acquired from flytraps.com 2 years ago. I took this pic last year during summer. I grew this plant outside in full sun for 4 - 6 hours. and kept the media very moist at all times during the growing season.
