Nepenthes rajah are naturally found in serpentine soils, which means they have a high concentrations of various minerals. However, I have had success with growing them in every standard Nepenthes mix I have tried. Our current mix is equal parts long-fiber sphagnum, fine orchid bark, perlite and vermiculite.
Are you the owner of predatory plants? I was on yesterday and i saw that predatory plants has more rajah's in now... I just wish i had the money. yeah i have a ventrata growing in a mix of LFS, orchid bark and pumice, but i've been transplanting it so much since i didn't know which mix to use, but it is starting to do better now. another problem is that during the winter here they lose there pitchers because of the lack of sunlight. I'm trying to start my own commercial carnivorous plant nursery too, my goal is to eventualy become a competetor with the largest nurseries.
