If you had your plant for some time, & wasn't recently purchased. NO, that is not normal. Nursery grown plants can be growing out of season when normally grown plants are in season & dormant.

By any chance was it exposed a longer period of light or increased temperatures.

I have Sarracenias, growing outside, waking up now & it's barely just two weeks into February. They are sprouting new pitchers & flower buds. I wonder what that means, but then again. Dormancy has gotten shorter & shorter. I'm worried because their could be sudden frost and my damage my plants.

I wonder if anyone else in the forum have carnivorous plants "waking up" too early this year?

Your plant is too warm and not in dormancy if it's flowering.

My house is 69 degrees. What do you recommend I do. My VFT looks very health and so do both my pitcher plants. I don't want any of them to die

Nothing now, it's getting late. NEXT fall put the VFT and if your pitcher plants are sarracenia in a 35-40 degree F. spot for 3-4 months. I have no place like that so mine go in the fridge. My VFTs go in bags then into the fridge. THIS is what I do for my Sarrs: (copy and paste into your browser)
