Is it as dead as it looks?

I've had my venus fly trap for just over a year now, and early autum it started looking a lot more droopy than it had done previously which I just assumed was it going dormant.

The thing is... It's gone completly from the surface and i'm too scared to dig it up to see if the bulbs still intact.

I've kept it on the corner of my window ledge which doesn't get too much sunlight and I've kept it moist with rainwater I've collected and it's caught it's fair share of flys (when it had traps...) so I can't see why it should be dead...

It did have some mould on the moss surrounding the plant, and I noticed little black flys around the plant if this has anything to do with it?

I'm really stumped... and I really REALLY hope it's not dead :'(
