Can I save my Venus Flytrap?

I got this very little Venus Flytrap and most of it is black and the traps remain open. I have tried to feed it, but it won't close. Is there anything I can do to save it?

There is NO need to feed Venus Flytraps. Can you post a photo of it? How about how you are growing it? Type of water, light, etc. We need MORE info and a photo.

I have it in a western window that gets lots of light later in the day and I am giving it distilled water. I have it in peat moss, like several websites have said. And I don't know how to post a picture of it.

Use a site like Photobucket. You upload the photo to it then use highlight the HTML code and copy it then paste that into you post.

VFTs require FULL Sun, at least 8 hours or more a day. after all danger of frost move it OUTSIDE in a place that gets full sun. Keep it in a water tray with an inch of rain or distilled water in it. These plants also need a dormant period come fall/Winter.
