I'd wait. Maybe until April at least.

You could wait to be safe but I've been shipping and receiving plants through the winter. I'm not sure what they have to go through when they change postal locations but I look what they will experience by shipper and recipient. For instance, our mailbox is in a common area, next to the door. It would get cold there. But if the package is too big for the box then they put it at our doorstep, where it's shielded from the cold.

You have a warm-up this weekend, if that makes a difference. Tommy and I live at opposites ends of NYS, just for perspective.

When I buy plants in Winter, the companies usually charge me $5 or so for one of those 60 hr hand warmers, keeps the pots warm enough so nothing goes wrong...

I would wait until temps are above 45F just to be sure. If the shipping takes 3 days or more the 60 hr hand warmer is useless.
