Dormancy question

Although it's a long time away, I want my VFT to be prepared for winter. Could I possibly grow it outside for its dormancy?

The average temps around dormancy time for the plant in Phoenix are these: November- High-75 Low-50

December- High-70 Low-44 January- High- 67 Low- 45

February- High- 71 Low-48....Are these temps enough to keep the plant outdoors for the entire dormancy? I have also thought that if I keep the plants outside for about two months, they could get boosted into a slight dormancy. Then I could put it in my fridge so it can be completely dormant. Would this work as well?
