Hey Guys-

I just picked up a bunch of flytrap seeds. Intent was to sprinkle them in the current terrarium with the pygmy drosera & let them sprout (or not) where they may.

Said seeds came with growing instructions, in which is says to sow on the surface of your medium of choice, cover said medium with plastic or glass, and then place the whole thing in a dark area for the first 2 weeks.

Is this true? Obviously if I put the whole terrarium in the dark everything will die.. Plus where is it dark for 2 weeks in nature so vft's can sprout?

Even if I used another container & the dark for 2 weeks... Baby vft's can't be that fun to transplant. So can't I just do the 'sprinkle & cross fingers' thing in the terrarium?
