I dont think that website is bad at all because I was going to buy a cp plant from them. And it is a nursery. And their prices are mostly the same on the website where I got mine.

The place looks OK for carnivorous plant purchases. They do not try to sell anything wacky or unnecessary except for the little domes and terrariums. I also do not agree with their generic information about watering since each plant species has its own watering preferences, Nepenthes and Butterworts really should not be tray watered due to potential root rot.

Most of the VFT's appear to be ex Trifid Park/Paradisia Nursery clones so they'd appear to be a good place to source Australian clones without having to deal with phytosanitary requirements.

Try checking nurseries through the Garden Watchdog. There are lots of reviews...

I've bought 90% of my plants from CPN, they're good people. Both times they've thrown in a free plant, but the first time my order was over $100 (came with an albino cape sundew), the second order was over $60 (came with a typical VFT), so that might have been why.

Everything they ship is bare root, sometimes it looks like they need a bit more water, but I've never lost a plant from them outside of my own stupidity (like cutting off the "dead" leaves from a Pale Trumpet cause I thought it wouldn't notice).

The bare root thing includes the pygmy sundew I ordered from them, which was more than a bit scary -- I've heard horror stories about them dying due to a slight bump to the roots, but the one I got (which was really a small cluster of 3 plants) is doing fine.

I just saw them this weekend at a festival a bought several, reasonably priced plants from the. I also have spoken to the owner at length and he is very knowledgeable. I think that his generic advice is given to lure people into the ease of culture to some of the more difficult species. He did not lure undividuals with false advice and was very honest. I am placing and over $600 order with them and will be making a trip to the nursery in person.
