I got this sundew its type is drosera venusta and I was thinking of planting it in a 6 inch pot while the pot sits in a tray of water. Does this technique keep the soil moist perminatly? And if I plant my sundew in this 6 inch pot how much water do I fill the tray with? Also I have bought a bag of peat moss and a bag of desert sand to plant my sundew in. Are these good materials to plant a sundew in?

Also should I buy some pebbles to help drain water out of the pot or will the sand take care of that? One more question if the water filled tray does keep the soil moist perminatly then do I have to water my sundew at all?
