The VFT should be in its own pot and placed outside. A cape sundew does well in its own pot, at a window sill. What is the "common sundew"? Can you post a picture or provide a species name? Is it the same as the one in the topic asking the ID of a sundew?

Definitely drill some drainage holes into the pot. Without them you will most likely experience root rot from all the stagnant water sitting at the bottom of the pot.

I agree, Sundews in a separate pot and grow INSIDE in a window. VFTs grown OUTSIDE in full Sun in their own pot or a small "bog" with Sarrs if you ever get a few!

Is the "common" one a d. Adelae? They stay indoors as well.

Bunks, I'm not sure where in Australia you're from but unless you're somewhere in the snowfields, all three can be grown outside. Differences in light requirements may be an issue in trying to grow them together. VFT's will generally require full sun, while Drosera capensis and spathulata do much better with light shade. Drosera capensis and spathulata will tolerate full sun but growth tends to be a little stunted and the leaves burn easily if the water and humidity fluctuate too much on hot days. D.capensis can also be a bully in the pot, demanding space.
