I tried to propagate using a leaf pulling using one of winter growing leaves on my plant. I laid it on some wet sphagnum and put a dome over it to keep humidity, and placed it next to my original plant. A few days later it started to shrivel up. The soil was still wet and the dome was humid; so why did it shrivel?
Follow-Up Postings:

Try sticking the white end into damp peat moss and keep it damp.

I heard that your not supposed to cover it with soil. Also, can I float the leaf in water?

try using a new active growing leaf. Seems the newer the leaf the easier they tend to grow plants. I sometimes use leaves that have not fully developed the trap.
