Stylidium?

I bought this plant last year on eBay. When it got here, it was just a skinny little sprout about 2 inches long. It more or less stayed that way until lately. First I accidentally let it dry out near the end of February. I thought I'd killed it but it came back even stronger. Now, as you can see, it has formed this mound ... don't know if the stuff around the flowering plant is seedlings or offsets. The pot is only a couple inches across.
Anyway, it's supposed to be a Stylidium debile or debiles. Can anyone confirm this? Also, should I try to separate some of the small ones to give them a chance to grow on their own? I'd appreciate any feedback.
