How big was the plant? Sometimes if the plant is not healthy enough it may stall/die. It's shouldn't "stall". I would cut it off at this point.

I think I am having a similar problem..i duno if mine has "stalled"..just taking forever to flower maybe
it has been like this for a week or so! i want it to flower!

It seems like a waste to cut it off at this point..i think i might give it a week or two..or maybe just let whatever happens happen...fingers crossed..and for yours :)

Sometimes VFT can take a bit to flower. I don't like to let mine flower unless I want seed set because it can exhaust the plant. I usually just cut the stalks off at about 1" and let the plant go on its way. I propagate through leaf cuttings and division. Let you VFT go on it's way and see what happens. It might decide to open its pods mid summer!

I let mine flower because they get direct sunlight and have a proper dormancy.

Petiolaris you have like 10 buds that i can count..1 of mine has 6 and the other has 4 or 5..is that because your plant is older?

I don't know how old the plant is. I received it last spring.

That flower scape has 12 buds and still none have opened!
