Pitchers arent growing on glabrata?

So i got a n. glabrata off of cobra plants, and it has plenty of new tiny pitchers but they dont grow. And one got to maybe the size of a 1/4 kernal of corn then it just turned back and shriveled. I have had it for about 2 weeks, I didnt adapt slowly because I was out of town and just had my sister bring it in so, she decided to unwrap it herself, and a week later when i got back I decided I wasnt going to start adapting it after its probably already shocked. It was under a 14 watt cfl then 5 days ago I put it under a 110 watt light. I think the problem is that I didnt adapt then Just switched to a much more powerful light but im not sure. The same thing is happening with a sundew. The are all in a terrarium. What could I be doing wrong?
